"Prestressing" Information and Measurement System

"Prestressing" information and measurement system is designed to measure the tension force of tendons in the containment prestressing system (CPS) of VVER-1000 type reactor plants.

System allows to:

  • monitor the magnitude of the tension forces loss in CPS tendons at their tension ends when transferring forces from the hydraulic jack to the CPS anchor device during their stressing
  • monitor the dynamics of tension forces changes in CPS tendons on their anchors during operation

Structurally, the system consists of the following main components:

  • workstation
  • switchboard of measuring transducers
  • PSI-01 force transducers (reg. no. 62522-15 in the FIF OEI)
  • HB 005 force sensors and PSD sensor signal converters making up the force transducer
  • junction boxes (SB)
  • power and communication cable lines
  • software
The sensor-string signal converter transforms an analog signal into a digital code. The obtained data is sent to the programmable server and transmitted to the workstation via certain interface. The software processes the received information and displays the results of measuring and monitoring force (tension) on the workstation monitor.

System software provides the following basic functions:

  • diagnostics of components in the switchboard of measuring transducers
  • input of source data and its editing
  • system configuration control
  • retrieval of information with recording the measurement time
  • processing of measurement results
  • saving measurement results in the database
  • generating reports on measurement results
  • output of reports (reference information) on the system operation for the period specified by the operator
